Installing Dial-Up Networking on Windows 98
If Dial-Up Networking was not installed when Windows 98 was installed, then you need to do so now.
If you already have Dial-Up Networking installed, skip to the section titled Creating a Windows 98 DUN Connection for TC3Net.
Go to Control Panel (double-click My Computer, then select Control Panel), and and double-click the Install/Remove Programs icon, then click on the Windows Setup tab. Scroll through the list until you see Communications, and highlight it.
Click the Details button,
and check the box for Dial-Up Networking:
Once you click OK, Windows may prompt you for your installation diskettes/CD-ROM. Dial-Up Networking will then be installed, and a new folder added to your Control Panel folder. Ignore this folder for now.
Once Dial-Up Networking has been installed, double-clicking My Computer should open a window that has this icon displayed:

Double-click the "Make New Connection" icon to start the New Connection wizard. A new panel will appear, asking for a name for the computer you are dialing ( use TC3Net). If you have more than 1 modem you will be prompted to select which modem to use . If no modems are listed, configure your modem. Once you have the name and modem selected, click Next.
Enter the phone number for TC3Net dial up connection, then click Next
Click Finish to complete the Wizard. Now, within the Dial-Up Networking window, you should see a TC3Net dial up connection. To add a short cut to your desk top right click on the icon and click on create short cut. You will receive an error stating it can not place the shortcut here and if you would like it to place a shortcut on your desktop. Click on Yes or ok.

Installing Dial-Up Networking on Windows 2000
From the 'Start' button, select 'Settings', then 'Network and Dial-up Connections', then 'Make New Connection'. This will start the Network Connection Wizard. Click "Next".
On the next screen, make sure the boxes are checked as dial up to the internet, then click "Next"
On the next screen, make sure the boxes are checked as I want to setup my internet connection manually, then click "Next"
On the next screen, check the box indicating your Phone and modem, then click "Next"
Enter your area code and the dial up access number, then click "Next"
Enter your login name and password, then click "Next"
Enter a name for this connection (TC3Net) and click "Next":
To set up your email account now click 'No', "Next"
Clear the check box if you don't want to connect to the Internet right now, then click Finish. That's it!

Windows ME dial up settings
Setup for Dialup Access
Open My Computer
Open Control Panel
Open Dial-up Networking
Open Make New Connection
Name for the Connection: TC3NET, click "Next"
Enter the Phone Number: xxx-xxxx, click "Next" then "Finish"
Right Click on "TC3NET", click "Properties"
Under General, uncheck "Use Area Code and Dialing Properties", click Ok, then Ok
Right-click on TC3NET, click "Create Shortcut"
Click Yes (When prompted to make a shortcut on the Desktop)
Close Dialup Networking and other opened folders.
Use the Shortcut to TC3NET on the Desktop to connect. You will need to enter your username and password when you connect, which will save when connected. If you want to require users to type the password each time they want to go on the internet, then leave remember password unchecked.

Creating a New Connection for XP:
You will need to complete the following steps.
Click Start, then click Settings, then select Control Panel. Open the Network Connections applet.
Click 'Create a new connection from the left group.
You will now be guided through the step by step connection wizard. Click 'Next'
'Connect to the Internet' will be selected by default, click 'Next'
Select 'Set up my connection manually' from the list, click 'Next'
Select the option 'Connect using a dial-up modem', click 'Next'
Name the connection 'TC3Net', click 'Next'
Set the correct local TC3Net Dial up number, click 'Next'
Select the option 'Create this connection for Anyone's use', click 'Next'
Enter your TC3Net username and password
The 'Use this account...' and 'Make this the default...' options must be checked and the 'Turn on Internet Connection Firewall...' option must not be checked. Click 'Next'
Select the option 'Add a shortcut to this connection to my desktop'. Click on 'Finish' to exit the Wizard.

Create a new Vista Dial Up Connection
Click on the Start button, from that menu choose Connect to:
In the Connect to a Network Wizard Click Set up a connection or network
Select the Set up a dial-up connection Click Next
Choose your Dial up modem (if prompted to) Click Next
On the Set up a dial-up connection screen
Enter your TC3Net information and click Create
You should then be able to click Close
To access the dial up connection click on the Start button, from that menu choose Connect to:
You will select your dial up connection and click on connect.
