To set up an additional email account:
1 Go to http://www.tc3net.com Log in using your main email address and password.
2. Click on the account tools link on the left hand side. This will take you to the account information screen.
3. Click on the email maintenance link on the left.
4. Click on add new address or forward.
5. Type in the name you wish to use, then create address.
6. This will take fifteen to twenty minutes to be added to the server.
You can either check it by using web mail or configure Outlook Express
With dsl you get 7 free email addresses, after that they are $1.00 a month each. For dial up customers if you would like additional email addresses they are $1.00 a month each.

Mac
Click the Apple icon
Click System Preferences
Click on the Internet icon
Click the Email tab
Select your email program from the list
Set your email address to your unique TC3Net username@tc3net.com
Set the Incoming Mail Server to mail.tc3net.com
Select POP for the Account Type
Set the User Account ID to your unique TC3Net username
Set your Password
Set Outgoing Mail Server to mail.tc3net.com
Click the Web tab to continue
Set your homepage to http://www.tc3net.com
You can set the search page and location to download files according to your preference. We like the Google search engine
Click the News tab to continue
Select your news program from the list
Set your news server to news.tc3net.com
You have finished checking your Internet Settings

Microsoft Outlook Express
Open Outlook Express
Click on Tools, then Accounts
Click on the Mail tab
Click on Add, then Mail
On the first screen, type your name how you want it to appear, then click next
Type in the TC3net email address you are setting up, then click next
The incoming mail server is a POP3 server, for the Incoming and Outgoing servers, type in mail.tc3net.com in the two boxes and click next
Type in the account name and password. The account name is the same as the email address.
Check the box to Remember Password if you wish and click next, do not click on Secure Password Authentication
Click Finish, then Click on Close to get out of the Internet Accounts.

Microsoft Outlook 2003
In Microsoft Outlook, select Tools > E-mail Accounts.
On the E-mail Accounts wizard window, select "Add a new e-mail account" and click Next.
For your server type, select "POP3" and click Next.
On the Internet E-mail Settings (POP3) window, enter your information as follows:
Your Name
Enter your first and last name.
E-mail Address
Enter your e-mail address.
User Name
Enter your e-mail address, again.
Password
Enter the password you set up for your e-mail account.
Incoming mail server (mail.tc3net.com)
Enter mail.tc3net.com for your incoming mail server.
Outgoing mail server (mail.tc3net.com)
Enter mail.tc3net.com for your outgoing mail server.
Click Next.
Click Finish.

Thunderbird Email
Go to the Tools menu and select Account Settings.
Click the Add Account button.
Fill in your name as you would like it to appear (e.g., Anne Smith).
Choose the Email Account radio button. Click Next.
Fill in your Notre Dame email address (e.g., asmith2@tc3net.com).
Choose the POP radio button.
The Incoming Server name is: mail.tc3net.com
Click Next.
Incoming username is your NetID (e.g., asmith2). Click Next.
Enter a name for your account (e.g., ND Email or asmith2@tc3net.com). Click Next.
Click Finish.

Windows Mail
In Windows Mail, go to the Tools menu and click on Accounts....
Click on the Add button in the upper right
In the Select Account Type window, double-click on E-mail Account.
In the Your Name window, type in the name you want your recipients to see when they receive your e-mails, then click on Next.
In the Internet E-mail Address window, type in your e-mail address, then click on Next.
In the Set up e-mail servers window, enter the e-mail server information mail.tc3net.com, replacing "user1234" with your username.
In the Internet Mail Logon window, enter your Internet ID and password for your e-mail account (you don't need to enter the password, but if you do, you will automatically log on to the e-mail server every time you open Windows Mail as long as the check is in the box next to Remember Password).
You should see the following screen; check the Do not download my e-mail and folders at this time box, then click Finish.
